Have you found your prom dress yet?
It’s officially prom season, and we have so many options to choose from this year! But before you plan a trip to the dress shop, check out our tips for finding your perfect prom dress!
1. Don’t Wait Until The Last Minute
If your prom is April 9, don’t wait to start your search on April 4. Not only will you be rushed and potentially be forced to settle on something you don’t love, but you also run the risk in paying extra for rushed alterations fees. Don’t be that girl. Start early and save yourself the stress!
2. Research
Many girls have no idea what kind of dress they want, and that’s fine. Take some time to search online, or check out our Prom Collections to see what’s out there!
3. Schedule An Appointment
Don’t like to stand in line or wait? Then scheduling an appointment is the best thing you can do for yourself! By making an appointment, you guarantee that you’ll have a dressing room waiting on you when you arrive!
Prom appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, and you can try on 5 to 6 dresses at a time. You can book your appointment here.
4. Be Open Minded
Your heart was set on that mermaid dress, but maybe. . .just maybe . . .that two piece fits your body type better. That’s totally ok. You want to look like the best you on your big day, so don’t be afraid to alter the vision if another style is more flattering!
5. It’s Not You, It’s the Dress. . . Seriously.
So, you’re a size 4 but the dresses the consultants pull for you are a size 6 or even an 8! Don’t freak out! Many of our designers have very small sizing, and each one varies. You may be a 4 in one designer and an 8 in another. This is no way reflects on you! And if your size is not available in the dress you want in store, there are options. . .
6. Don’t Be Afraid To Order Your Dress
If you found the one, but it’s a size too small, let us know! Many of our dresses are available in additional sizes and can simply be ordered. Most take a week or less to arrive!
7. Be Prepared For Alterations
Formal dresses aren’t like our street clothes. It’s hard to buy something off the rack that fits perfectly. Most dresses have to be altered for that exact fit. But don’t worry, we have an in-house alterations department that can take care of that for you!*
Start looking now, and if you see your dream dress, don’t wait long to purchase. Some of our designers are so popular that their stock can deplete quickly. We don’t want you to fall in love with a dress that is sold out. . . everywhere! So don’t delay!
