Yay for getting Fall wedding pictures starting to come in! Brittany and Perry’s wedding was absolutely beautiful and we’re so excited to share their images with you! Who doesn’t love a red barn? Kyle’s Farm may be our new favorite venue!

Did you have an idea of what style wedding or the style of dress you wanted at the time?

I had a few pictures of what I liked picked out. I was open to pretty much anything but a ball gown. I honestly didn’t see myself in a mermaid style dress.

How did you decide on THE dress?

We went dress shopping pretty early because I was so excited and eager to try dresses on. I knew that I wanted to go to Camille’s because my best friend, Kassie Owens, had purchased her dress from there. I showed the girl that helped me pictures of some of the styles that I liked and she pulled them for me. I believe I had tried on 3 or 4, and my mema came to me with a dress she had seen hanging on the rack. It turned out to be the one. I loved the laced detail and the scalloped sweetheart neckline. The train was beautiful and I loved that it was backless. I don’t know if you would classify as a mermaid dress but it definitely had a mermaid look to it, but I was totally against mermaid. Once I put the dress on I knew that it was mine.

What was your favorite thing about wedding dress shopping?

I loved trying on dresses. That was my favorite thing about prom season. I just love shopping in general! My mom, mema, and best friends also made my day special by going with me.

How was shopping at Camille’s different than other stores you went to?

Camille’s was the only store I went to to look for wedding gowns. I wasn’t expecting to find my dress on the first trip but I did. I loved how everyone was so friendly and helpful and complimented every dress that I tried on. It wasn’t crowded and me and the family and friends that came with me had plenty of room to mingle around. I also loved that there was a seamstress there. It made things so much easier. She was also able to alter my dress to help the straps stay on my shoulder. We added a criss cross design on the back of the dress and I had no problem with my straps falling on my wedding day! I did go to a big chain store (David’s Bridal) for my bridesmaid’s dresses. Even though I had made an appointment, they didn’t have room for everyone to try on dresses. It was very loud, crowded, and disorganized. It was not a pleasant experience.
