Prom season is one of the most exciting times of year at Camille’s, and we’re looking forward to welcoming students and families as they begin the search for the perfect gown.
With extended hours to support both prom and bridal clients, we want to share a few important details to help you plan your visit.
Prom Shopping at Camille’s
Prom shopping at Camille’s is designed to be fun, supportive, and organized—especially during our busiest months.
Prom shopping is walk-in, first come, first served.
When you arrive:

You’ll add your name upon check-in

Guests are assisted in the order they arrive

Each guest begins with up to five dresses to try on: additional gowns may be tried on as time and availability allow. During busy Saturdays and Sundays, guests may be asked to rejoin the fitting room line if there is a wait, ensuring that everyone has a fair and enjoyable experience

During peak times, there may be a short wait while fitting rooms become available
This process allows our team to give each guest personalized attention while keeping the experience moving smoothly for everyone.
Who to Bring With You
Prom shopping is more fun with support, and we love welcoming families into the experience! To keep fitting rooms comfortable and the floor flowing smoothly during our busiest season, space is limited.
We recommend bringing 1–2 trusted guests whose opinions you value most. A smaller group helps keep the experience focused, fun, and stress-free.
Please note: Boyfriends and male guests are welcome to join but will need to remain in the front of the store while dresses are being tried on.

What to Expect During Busy Weekends
Prom season can be busy, particularly on weekends. We recommend arriving earlier in the day when possible.
If all fitting rooms are in use:

Store Policies to Know Before You Shop
To help create the best experience for all guests during prom season, we kindly ask that shoppers keep the following policies in mind:

No holds: Dresses are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be held.

Prom layaway available: We offer prom layaway with a 50% non-refundable deposit, allowing you to secure your gown while paying over time.

No food or drinks: Outside food and beverages are not permitted while shopping.

Prom Season Arrivals & New Styles
Throughout prom season, new gowns will continue to arrive in store. From bold color and statement sparkle to timeless silhouettes, our prom floor offers a wide variety of styles to suit every personality and vision.
We encourage shoppers to visit early in the season for the best selection and ordering options.
A Quick Note on Selection & Ordering
Our prom floor is constantly changing throughout the season as dresses sell quickly — especially popular styles, colors, and sizes. Because gowns are shopped directly from the racks, availability can become limited faster than expected.
If your dream dress isn’t available in your size or preferred color, we may be able to special order it depending on designer availability. Special orders typically take approximately 2 weeks to 1 month, as dresses are pulled directly from our designers’ inventory.
For the best selection and flexibility, we always encourage shopping earlier in the season when possible.
Prom Dress Registration & School Exclusivity
At Camille’s, we know how important it is to feel confident that your prom look is truly your own. That’s why we register prom gowns by school once purchased.
This ensures that no two shoppers from the same school will wear the same dress from Camille’s to prom. Our team will walk you through this process at checkout and help answer any questions, so you can shop with confidence knowing your gown is uniquely yours for your special night.
