With many competitors of the Miss North Carolina Program rocking signature gowns from designers such as Sherri Hill, Camille’s has become a sponsor to this amazing organization. Last year, the title of the 2015 Miss North Carolina’s Outstanding Teen went to our very own, Kenzie Hansley! This Saturday she will pass the crown to this year’s tile winner and we wouldn’t miss being there to wish our #camilleschick all the well wishes in the world!

For those of you who don’t know her, McKenzie Hansley will be entering her senior year at Topsail High School in Pender County. She is involved with numerous clubs including SGA, Key Club, EC Club, and Pirate Mob and has raised over $10,000 for the Miracle League over the past three years. She began working for Camille’s over a year ago and since then we have had the privilege of watching her shine as #MNCOT.

Below is Kenzie, killing it in a gorgeous yellow gown by Jovani the day she was crowned!

We held a special party for our #camillleschick and employee Kenzie Hansely, who was just crowned Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen! We’re very proud of her and rooting for her as she takes her next step towards the national level!

Here is one of the first dresses Kenzie wore from us when she was Miss Wilmington’s Outstanding Teen 2014

Pageant girls stick together!…Kenzie is a hard worker and an amazing part of the Camille’s team. Here she is pictured below after helping this young lady named Macie find her PERFECT pageant gown while making her experience with us top notch. #isaidyes #camillesofwilmington #pageantgirls #pageantworld

If you ask Kenzie for one piece of advice, her response would be to “Be yourself”. Kenzie reflected on her early days competing in pageants and recalled worrying about what everyone else was doing or wearing or thinking. It wasn’t until she started listening to her true inner voice, saying the things she wanted to say and expressing herself through the clothes that showcased her personality when she truly began to shine. And boy did that pay off!

“There’s no need to be perfect to inspire others, let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections.” – Kenzie

So, there are very few Saturdays when the store would be closed for business. But as you can see, this Saturday June 25th will be an exception to the rule.

Your Camille’s family wishes you all the best, sweet Kenzie. We couldn’t be more proud of you!!!
