Meet Joanne

Fashion, retail, and helping people feel confident have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My journey began at just 14 years old, working in retail and learning from incredible mentors who shaped not only my understanding of business but also my approach to leadership, customer service, and building meaningful relationships.


From an early age, I dreamed of owning my own bridal and formalwear store. I spent years gaining hands-on experience in every aspect of the industry, learning what it takes to create an exceptional shopping experience and helping clients celebrate some of life's most important moments.


In 2011, that dream became a reality when I opened Camille's of Wilmington. What began as a vision has grown into one of the area's premier destinations for bridal, eveningwear, and menswear. In 2026, we proudly celebrated 15 years in business—a milestone that reflects years of hard work, dedication, and the incredible support of our clients, community, and team.
Building Camille's from the ground up while raising two sons taught me invaluable lessons about perseverance, sacrifice, and the importance of balancing family and business. Those experiences continue to shape the way I lead today.


As a self-taught marketer and entrepreneur, I have always believed in the power of relationships. Through networking, community involvement, and strong partnerships with industry professionals, I've worked to build a business that is known not only for its beautiful collections but also for its exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere.


One of my greatest accomplishments is the team we've built at Camille's. Our talented stylists and management team are passionate about helping every client feel celebrated, confident, and cared for. Together, we've created a culture that feels like family—one where employees grow, thrive, and often find their way back home.


Fifteen years later, I remain just as passionate about this business as I was on opening day. It is an honor to be part of so many weddings, celebrations, and milestone moments, and I look forward to helping create unforgettable memories for years to come.
